If you eat fast food, you might want to read this. McDonalds is one of the largest fast food restaurants in the world. And for a couple of weeks, you may just get your meal for FREE. So go visit the closest McDonalds in Dublin...Perimeter, Bridge Street, Sawmill Road...and you might just get lucky. Not everyone will get this meal paid for "with love" since the times are predetermined. But here are more details:
The "Pay with Lovin’" campaign began Monday and runs through Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14.
One hundred randomly selected customers from every McDonald’s in America during the 13-day period will be told that their form of payment isn’t dollars and cents, but instead an invitation to “give lovin'."
Perform your act of love – for example, tell a family member or friend you love them, show off your dance moves or call someone to express gratitude – and McDonald’s will pick up your tab.
How to Boost Your Chances of Winning
While each McDonald’s location will have 100 winners, they won’t all be evenly spaced, according to thepennyhoarder.com .
The best dates to play are Feb. 2 (35 winners per restaurant), Feb. 3 (20 winners) and Saturday, Feb. 7 (10 winners). The other 10 days of the contest will have five or fewer winners each day.
The move comes as the world’s largest fast-food burger chain struggles to reconnect with consumers who have strayed to fast-food brands that offer fresh-not-frozen burgers and customization.
“We’re on a journey to change the relationship, and Pay with Lovin’ is a direct way for us to engage with our customers,” said Deborah Wahl, chief marketing officer for McDonald’s USA.
McDonald’s has scrambled to reverse months of slumping sales amid a major shift in leadership. Last week Don Thompson, chief executive since July 2012, announced his March 1 retirement. Chief Brand Officer Steve Easterbrook is replacing him.
So go hit up your closest McDonalds and you might just win yourself a free meal. And if you do, maybe you can keep the lovin' going and pay it forward! #paidwithlovin
